9th Grade Updates & Reminders:

Please remember that students are required to have a copy of either The Omnivore's Dilemma or The Big Thirst, this was expressed in the syllabus and students were to have the novel by January 7th or earlier. Students also require sticky notes, pens and highlighters (5 colors) daily. Students that are not prepared will end up falling behind, we are a high school level course and we move quickly. I must also emphasize that many students are not accustomed to the rigor of this type of course and may struggle. Assignments are not suggestions and failure to follow through and complete assignments in a timely manner may impact a students ability to remain in this course or earn high school credit.

Attendance is required to do well in this course, it is advised that if students must check out it be in encore or study skills courses and repeatedly missing this course will place them further and further behind.
